The Newly launched Ford Figo is being priced very aggressively, starting at Rs 3.5 lakh for the petrol and Rs 4.48 lakh for the diesel version.

Ford India Ltd has however managed to price the car very sensibly at an attractive price tag. The B segment hatch has just been revealed, and the Figo starts from Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base version 1.2 petrol and the 1.4-litre diesel engine option starts from Rs 4,47,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The 1.2 petrol Figo equals the price tag with the  recently launched Chevrolet Beat. Whereas the 1.4 diesel pricing is quite similar to the Maruti Suzuki Ritz. Althogh the recently launched small hatches pricing is at par with the respective counterparts across various brands, they just seem to be set at around 30 to 35000/- Rs difference from one another. which has been a new benchmark for hatchbacks in the country. The diesel variant of the Ford Figo also proves to undercut the newly launched Volkswagen Polo 1.2 diesel by almost half a lakh of rupees.

Ford India seems to be geared up for getting the customers to their showrooms.  The company currently has 167 dealerships in 97 cities. out of which, around 28 dealerships were opened in one single day. The Ford Figo deliveries are scheduled to begin immediately, in fact Ford India has  already put up the Ford Figo on display at various showrooms across India at their Ford dealerships.The company has also ensured that its sales and service network has been suitably spruced up to make sure, nothing is left behind if at all the Ford Figo becomes a hit from the customers perspective.
