15-11-2010 (Monday): - Skoda’s India’s latest crossover, and much-awaited premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) the “YETI” which we all were waiting for has been launched in India. The fifth-model launch from the Skoda’s stable, the ” YETI ” is being introduced in the Indian Market just after a slew of launches from Tata Motors with their “ARIA” and Hyundai with the “SANTA FE”.
The Czech carmaker Skoda has launched the Five Seater compact SUV, the YETI in two variants — Ambiente, priced at Rs.15.40-lakh, and Elegance at Rs.16.62-lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). The prices of the compact SUV ex- Maharashtra is Rs. 14.98 lakhs for the Ambiente Version and Rs, 16.04 lakhs for the Elegance version. The Yeti is powered by a 2-litre TDI CR Diesel engine delivering 140 bhp of power and mileage of 17.67 km a litre.
