Following the cut throat competition from amongst Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Skoda too has been trying hard to regain its sales number ticking by introducing a variant of the Skoda Laura, by launching price cut on its variant of its Laura TSi saloon and renamed it as the Laura TSi Classic.
The Skoda Laura Classic is a base petrol version with most of the features stripped out of from its arms like the front fog lamps, rear parking sensors, lumbar support adjustment for driver and front passenger seats, a front center arm-rest, automatic climate control, rear-A/C vents, leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and brake lever, and storage compartment under the front passenger seat.
What the Skoda Laura Classic has been equipped with is with an ivory colour upholstery and sports a chrome trim on the controls for infotainment system and air conditioning. The sedan also sports chrome-based interior door handles. The sedan has many safety features like- dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), MBA (Mechanical Brake Assistant), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) and TCS (Traction Control System).
However, what the Skoda Laura Classic is equipped on the exterior front is with 15 inch Steel wheels instead of Alloys and a single-DIN CD player instead of a Central infotainment system. The exterior features of the sedan include Gaspra Full wheel covers, side doors, bumpers, external mirrors and door handles with body colour, external mirror defogger with timer and externally adjustable external mirrors.The Laura TSi Classic is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is exactly Rs 1 lakh dearer than the Laura Ambiente.
