Maruti Suzuki SX4 Diesel
Maruti Suzuki has been trying too hard to keep up with the demand for its diesel engines, even though it has upgraded its production capacity from 100,000 to 300,000 units a year. The petrol-powered version of the SX4 has certainly not made the cash registers ringing from Maruti, since Honda City does that well and has been the best seller in its segment. Maruti Suzuki, however, is the market leader in the hatchback segments, wherein its rivals would need decades to match up with them or to outnumber them in sales and service departments.
