Maruti Suzuki India Ltd recalled its diesel cars manufactured between 13 November 2010 to 4th December 2010. The recent recall from Maruti has affected as many as 13,157 diesel cars, which include 4,505 Swift Dzire, 6,841 Swift and the 1,811 Ritz cars. Maruti uses Fiat’s MultiJet diesel engines across its diesel lineup. According to Maruti, the connecting rod bolt needs inspection as it has been responsible for abnormal noise in the engine.
